Ingredients

1 quart sweet cider
1 two-inch cinnamon stick
1/2 teaspoon whole cloves
1/4 teaspoon whole allspice

Preparation

  1. Combine the ingredients in a saucepan and heat to the boiling point. Remove from the heat and allow the spices to steep for 3 or 4 hours. Strain, chill and serve with ice cubes in tumblers or goblets. If you like, the drink may be reheated and served in 8-ounce mugs.
